Shirley and Rudy Nelson have survived over sixty years of marriage and collaboration. Between them they have published four books, produced a documentary, and contributed to a variety of periodicals and anthologies. They have a really neat family and a lot of great friends. They are also very old.

SHIRLEY: The Last Year of the War, a novel, Harper and Row, 1978, winner of the Harper-Saxton Fellowship, among other awards.

Fair, Clear and Terrible: The Story of Shiloh, Maine, a narrative history of a cultic community, British American Publishing, 1989.

Both books are presently in print at by Wipf & Stock in Oregon.

RUDY: The Making and Unmaking of an Evangelical Mind: The Case of Edward Carnell, Cambridge University Press, 1987.

TOGETHER: Writers and producers of a documentary, Precarious Peace: God and Guatemala, a study of civil war and peace building in that country, funded by The US Institute of Peace, 2003.
